Spelt (also known as farro, dinkel) is one of the oldest cultivated grains.

Spelt is similar to wheat in appearance, but it has a tougher husk, which helps protect the nutrients inside the grain. 

Spelt is widely recognized for its many health benefits. It is high in protein (significantly higher than wheat), high in B complex vitamins, and spelt is high in simple and complex carbohydrates.
